In the second quarter of 2024, the top five theme park apps in the Netherlands demonstrated a diverse range of performances across downloads, revenue, and active users on a unified platform, according to Sensor Tower data.
Disneyland® Paris saw a notable increase in weekly downloads early in the quarter, peaking at 8.5K in the week of April 29 before declining to around 2K by the end of June. Weekly revenue for the app spiked to $25 in the week of May 6. Active users followed a similar pattern to downloads, with a high of 14.6K in late April and tapering off to approximately 6.5K by the end of June.
Phantasialand experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads, peaking at 3.1K in late April, and maintaining a steady presence with around 926 downloads by the end of June. Active users mirrored this trend, reaching a high of 3.4K in April and stabilizing around 1.1K towards the end of the quarter.
Europa-Park & Rulantica had a notable peak in weekly downloads at 1.9K in late April, with a subsequent decline to around 357 downloads by the end of June. Active users followed a similar trajectory, peaking at nearly 2K and settling around 423 by the quarter's end.
LEGOLAND® Billund Resort showed a significant peak in downloads at 2.1K in late April, with a drop to about 129 by the end of June. The active user count hit a high of 515 in early May and gradually declined to 157 by late June.
My Disney Experience saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $755 at the end of April, before decreasing to lower values by the end of June. Downloads peaked at 535 in late April and settled around 131 by the end of the quarter. Active users reached their highest point at 625 in late April and ended the quarter at approximately 259.
